AUTOMATION + PRACTICAL AI FOR SMALL BUSINESSES

Grow your business without adding headcount.

FiberIsle helps small businesses reduce manual work, connect existing tools, and apply AI where it creates real value.

We start by understanding how your work happens today: the tools your team uses, the handoffs that slow things down, and the repeated tasks that consume time. Then we help improve the workflow with practical automation, clearer systems, focused internal tools, or AI-assisted steps that keep people in control.

Core services

FiberIsle focuses on practical improvements to the way work already happens. The goal is not to replace your business systems. The goal is to reduce manual effort, make handoffs clearer, and help your team use the right tools for the job.

  1. Automate manual work

Reduce repeated copy/paste, cleanup, routing, follow-up, and other routine steps that consume time.

  2. Connect existing tools

Help information move more reliably between spreadsheets, email, forms, CRMs, scheduling tools, document systems, and reporting tools.

  3. Apply practical AI

Use Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, or other AI tools where they fit the job, with clear boundaries and human review where it matters.

  4. Improve operational visibility

Create reports, dashboards, and simple views that help you see bottlenecks, track work, and make decisions with better context.

  5. Build focused internal tools when needed

When existing tools are not enough, build small internal tools that support the workflow without adding unnecessary complexity.

How we work

FiberIsle starts with a short intro call to understand context and fit. From there, the next step may be a paid Systems Assessment, a Targeted Project, or a smaller task-level project if the problem is already well-defined.

  1. 01

    Free Intro Call

    30 MINUTES

A fit and context call. We talk through what you want to improve, what tools are involved, and whether FiberIsle is likely to be useful. This is not a free consulting session or guaranteed diagnostic.

  2. 02

    Systems Assessment, when needed

    PAID DIAGNOSTIC

Best when there are multiple workflows, unclear bottlenecks, or uncertainty about what is worth doing. You receive a clearer view of the work, quick-win recommendations, and possible follow-on projects.

  3. 03

    Targeted Project

    CLEAR PLAN BEFORE WORK BEGINS

If the work is clear, FiberIsle defines the goals, requirements, deliverables, and price estimate before the project begins. Depending on the need, FiberIsle may recommend a fixed-cost project or a time-based engagement.

  4. 04

    Handoff and next steps

    CLIENT-OWNED DELIVERABLES

You receive the workflows, documentation, handoff notes, and access needed to use what was built. AI training can be added when it helps your team adopt the new workflow.

Systems Assessment

A Systems Assessment is a paid diagnostic for situations where the next step is not obvious. It is best when several workflows are involved, bottlenecks are unclear, or you need help deciding what is worth improving first. FiberIsle reviews how work moves through your tools, people, handoffs, and data, then turns that context into a practical assessment.

  • A map of the workflows, tools, handoffs, bottlenecks, and pain points involved
  • A prioritized set of quick-win recommendations, when useful
  • Follow-on project recommendations with expected effort and tradeoffs

Quick wins are recommendations that may come out of a Systems Assessment. They are not a separate public offer. The assessment is yours to keep whether FiberIsle builds the next step or not.

Targeted Project

Start with the right level of work.

When the work is clear enough to implement, FiberIsle turns it into a focused project with defined deliverables. A targeted project can address one repeated task, one defined workflow, or a broader system across multiple tools and teams.

The right level depends on how clear the problem is, how many steps are involved, and how quickly you need a usable outcome.

What a targeted project can include

  • Practical AI integrations tied to real workflows
  • Automations that reduce repetitive work
  • Reports, dashboards, and operational views
  • Connections between existing tools
  • Focused internal tools or workflow apps
  • Documentation, access, and handoff notes

You’ll receive a clear plan, deliverables, and price estimate before project work begins. Depending on the work, FiberIsle may recommend a fixed-cost project or a time-based engagement.

Task-level project

For one repeated task, known issue, or desired outcome.

  • Customer time: 30-minute prep/intake plus a 60-minute working session.
  • Outcome timing: a few days.

Start directly after intro/intake.

Workflow-level project

For one defined workflow with multiple steps, handoffs, or tools.

  • Customer time: a few working sessions plus review.
  • Outcome timing: under 2 weeks.

FiberIsle may recommend a Systems Assessment first.

System-level project

For broader improvements across multiple workflows, tools, data sources, or teams.

  • Customer time: discovery sessions plus review/handoff.
  • Outcome timing: 2+ weeks.

Usually starts with a Systems Assessment.

Why FiberIsle

FiberIsle is built around a simple idea: technology should support how your business works, not force your team into a bigger system than it needs.

  • Use what already worksFiberIsle looks first at the tools your team already uses before recommending anything new.
  • Build only what is missingAutomation, AI, dashboards, or internal tools are added only where they reduce friction or create real value.
  • Keep plans and costs clearYou’ll receive a clear plan, deliverables, and price estimate before project work begins. Depending on the work, FiberIsle may recommend a fixed-cost project or a time-based engagement.
  • You own the resultDeliverables, documentation, handoff notes, and access are handed over clearly so your team can keep using the work.
  • Keep AI under human controlAI is applied with clear boundaries. When customer communication, sensitive information, or important business decisions are involved, FiberIsle designs workflows with human review and control built in.
Urban Faubion

Software engineering experience, applied to small-business operations.

FiberIsle was founded by Urban Faubion, a software engineering leader and consultant with experience across startups, consulting teams, and large enterprise platforms. His work has focused on reducing friction, improving workflows, modernizing technical systems, and helping teams use new technology in practical ways.

FiberIsle brings that same systems-minded approach to small businesses: understand how the work happens today, find the bottlenecks, and apply automation or AI only where it creates real value.
